this apparently means there were 36 months x 6 days = 216 sampling days
the quadrats on two of the transects were "1 m square" and the bait stations on two of the transects contained "a mixture of honey 30%, tuna 50% and soya oil 20%... placed on the ground on a square plastic (20 cm x 20 cm)" while the pitfall traps on the remaining two transects were "left for 4 days prior to the commencement of the experiment"
