Sampling comments: "Twelve of the 38 [trees] flowered vigorously in late February 2004, and eight of these were sampled... Using long- handled aerial nets, a total of 96 aerial sweeps were taken in a series of steps from each tree with two collectors working together. At the upper crown level of each tree, six separate collections of eight sweeps each were taken (for total of 48). The same procedure was followed at the lower crown level of each tree for a second set of 48 sweeps"
