The QRBEP is located in an ecotone with phytophysiognomies of both biomes: Alluvial Semideciduous Forest, Montane Semideciduous Stationary Forest, Cerrado, Candela, Rupestrian fields, and Altitude fields... The climate of the region is of type Cwa according to the Köppen classification, rainy temperate"
