Habitat comments: "Strata IV - VII comprise the Pleistocene (Lujanian) deposits" and most fossils are from Stratum IV and V
Stratum IV is "a compact, silt-sand paleosol"
Stratum V sediments are "similar to the lowermost portion of Stratum IV, but these sediments are saturated with asphalt. In this layer megafaunal bones are so abundant as to constitute a clast-supported breccia of bones, cobbles and plant material"
