Geography comments: "one of the peat swamp forest strips dividing the sago plantation of the PT. National Sago Prima (PT NSP)... The plantation is located at Selat Panjang, the Tebing Tinggi District, Kepulauan Meranti Regency, Riau Province... The first quadrat was established at the coordinate of 00°48'53.5" N and 102° 53'44.3" E with the mean altitude of 16 m, with the altitude of 0-50 m asl"

The area was also illegally logged by local community in 2000-2005" but the site itself is clearly not a plantation
