Sampling comments: "During April and May 1995 male euglossine bees were sampled... four sampling sites were established by placing trap sets every 200 m... Trap sets at each site, consisted of three non-lethal traps, respectively baited with cineol, methyl salicilate and skatol. The homemade traps had the bait at the bottom part, hanging under an inverted funnel... The traps remained installed 4 hours from 0800/0830 to 1200/1230... Male euglossines were identified on the site; dubious specimens and vouchers were collected and deposited at the Museo de EntomologĂ­a... bees were wing-marked with indelible ink"
