Habitat comments: "According to the Köppen‘s classification, the local climate is Af type... The study area had been under intense ecological pres- sure caused by the exploitation of natural resources and un- planned extractivism. From 1930 to the mid-1980s there was extensive extraction of iron ore in the region. After that, trees were cut off for charcoal production. The area came under government protection in 1995"
