Habitat comments: Zita in general is "an urban archaeological site of approximately 34 ha"
this is "a domestic area, perhaps a courtyard or midden, converted to a metallurgical industrial area in the Roman period... The final layers of Square 1 preserved an industrial midden with large amounts of slag, metallurgical ceramics, metal objects, and a variety of other industrial materials such as chalk and sulphur"
there are "some hundreds of urns... containing the cremated remains of infants and children"
