Chrummorge has been dated to 24.6 +/- 0.2 Ma based on faunal comparisons with the Fornant 6 and Rickenbach localities

Habitat comments: The Oligocene molasse sediments are composed of "fine to middle-grained quartz- and mica-rich unconsolidated sands and sandstones crop out"
