Geography comments: "on the hydrographic left bank of the Natisone river... a little upstream of the village of Biarzo" (coordinate based on San Pietro al Natisone, which is less than 2 km south of the site)
SU 3A is "typical of the later Castelnovian phase" with numerous artifacts including "Impresso potsherds" from "the upper part of the SU"
there appear to be no radiocarbon dates on this layer, but an underlying one is dated (see sample 3432)

Habitat comments: there is a large "lithic industry" and "animal material processing (e.g., hunting, hide treatment, bone working) represented the main activity carried out at the site"
there are "some perforated Columbella rustica shells, several lumps of ochre, two fragmentary awls, one pierced red deer atrophic canine and one fragmentary harpoon made of red deer antler"
